TGW Ltd. appoints new Managing Director

TGW Logistics Group has announced that it has appointed Andy Smith as the new Managing Director of its UK and Ireland subsidiary TGW Ltd.

Mr. Smith has spent 24 years working in the material handling industry. A specialist in automation and mechanisation solutions, he has held a variety of design, sales and leadership roles.

Commenting on the appointment TGW Logistics Group President Mr Georg Kirchmayr said, “We are delighted that Andy has joined our team, he shares our values and has the necessary knowledge, experience and drive to help the business achieve our ambitious growth plans for the UK and Ireland”

Part of TGW Logistics Group, TGW Ltd provides automated and semi automated solutions for distribution centres and other industrial applications.

Technologies include high-speed miniload cranes, carton and tote conveyor, pallet cranes, pallet conveyor, pallet de-layering devices, high-speed sortation machines, multi depth pallet storage technology and warehouse control and management systems. TGW supply both direct to end users and through their strategic partners.
