United Drug FY 2008 earnings to meet forecasts

United Drug plc said it will meet its targets of a double-digit increase in operating profit and earnings for the year ending September 30.

"Operating profit and earnings for the year are again expected to show double digit growth over the prior year,” Ireland's biggest medicines supplier said in a Regulatory News Service statement today, October 3. “These results should be in line with current consensus market expectations,” it said.

The Dublin- based company will publish its final results on November 19.
