Beazley Group announces appointments

Global insurance group Beazley has announced four new posts on its board.
The company, which manages two of Lloyd’s syndicates and has an underwriting capacity of £814 million, has made four new senior level management appointments "designed to strengthen the group’s operational capabilities and ability to exploit attractive underwriting opportunities”.
Neil Maidment, Head of the Insurance Division, will take on the additional position of Chairman of Lloyd’s syndicates 623 and 2623.
Head of the Property Division, Jonathan Gray, will also become Chair of a new group focusing on the development of Beazley Group’s business in the United States.
Following the departure of Johnny Rowell, his position as Head of Speciality Lines will be taken by Adrian Cox, formerly Head of the Professions Group within Speciality Lines. While David Marock, formerly Head of Speciality Lines Claims, has taken the position of Chief Operating Officer of the Beazley Group.
“I am delighted to be able to call upon such talented and experienced individuals to fill these important roles at Beazley,” said Chief Executive Andrew Horton. “We are, I believe, extremely well placed to offer our brokers and clients the support and solutions they need in this very challenging market.”
Beazley Group shares remained stable at £1.83 per share.
